Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro Transplant ICU position requiring Level 1 trauma experience and night shift availability in Oklahoma City, OK.
Details
- Neuro Transplant ICU unit within a hospital setting
- Patient population includes complex neurological and transplant cases requiring intensive care
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- Level 1 trauma center experience required for this unit
Requirements
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
- Level 1 trauma center experience required; neuro ICU experience required
- NIHSS certification is a plus
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Full date of birth (DOB) required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include managing an assigned patient group, monitoring physiological data, administering medications, regulating IV infusions and blood products, and coordinating care with physicians and support staff
- Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be considered
- Previous travelers or workers at this facility may return after a 6-month separation period following a maximum 26-week total engagement
- Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screens, background checks, medical requirements) must begin immediately upon offer acceptance — start dates will not be adjusted for non-compliance
- All certifications must be issued by the American Heart Association

Pros
Very nice hospital, I like the fact that I never have to put in orders or sign any consent form. The doctors do all this. There is a lot of hours. On the clinical side, there is a lot to learn. On my unit I got to see so many surgical cases that I never seen in my entire career only because I was on a surgical unit.
