Description

American Traveler is hiring a Labor and Delivery RN requiring active Minnesota RN licensure, ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Heart Monitoring certifications for a 13-week assignment.

Details

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital setting
• Care for obstetrical patients including antepartum, postpartum, and couplet care patients
• Perform triage of obstetrical patients and Non Stress Tests (NST)
• Utilize external fetal monitoring and recognize/treat abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• 13-week assignment length
• 3x12 hour shifts with rotating day and night schedule (0700-1930 or 1900-0700)
• Every other weekend or every third weekend commitment required

Requirements

• Active Minnesota RN license required (in hand or proof of application at time of consideration)
• Current certifications required: ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
• BLS certification required
• AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience with strong OB background
• Experience with postpartum hemorrhage management preferred
• Level I Nursery experience preferred
• MedSurg experience is an additional asset

Additional Information

• Must reside more than 25 miles from the facility to be eligible for consideration
• Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least 9 months before returning as a traveler
• Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, with no RTO allowed during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
• All time off requests must be disclosed and approved at the time of consideration
• Holiday coverage required as needed by the facility
• Required lab work must be completed within 48 hours of signing the contract
• Minnesota state law requires in-person Livescan fingerprinting completed on the Monday prior to the scheduled start date, applicable to all candidates regardless of residency
• Travelers are responsible for their own travel expenses and arrangements related to fingerprinting
