Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Float Pool Med/Surg Tele position requiring at least 2 years of experience and an active WA or Compact RN license.
Details
- Float Pool position covering multiple units including 2EW, 2NW, 3EW, 3NW, 5th floor, and the ER for Med/Surg holds
- Patient population includes adults (and potentially pediatric patients for those with peds experience), post-surgical patients, stroke, oncology, CHF, COPD, respiratory, GI, and orthopedic (total joints)
- Telemetry monitoring required as part of standard care
- EMR: Epic
- 12-hour night shifts (7p–7a), 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend rotation required
- No on-call responsibilities
Requirements
- Active WA or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred
- Must pass a telemetry exam during compliance
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Proficiency with chest tubes, trachs, PICC/midlines/central lines, Foleys, NG tubes, dressing changes, wound vacs, ostomies, and telemetry monitoring
- Pediatric and/or psych experience preferred but not required
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Two professional references from a supervisor or above (Charge Nurse, Manager, Director, etc.) required prior to start; one reference accepted at time of consideration
Additional Information
- 226-bed non-profit community hospital
- Oncology patients are part of the caseload; chemotherapy administration experience is not required
- RNs may collect blood draws from central lines as needed and could very rarely serve in a total care/CNA capacity
- Solid-color scrubs required; no graphics or designs
