Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry unit position at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital, requiring cardiac drip management, sheath pulls, and Epic proficiency.

• Telemetry unit at a 40-bed unit within a 222-bed Magnet-designated acute care hospital
• High-acuity cardiology patient population with ratios of 1:5-6
• Cardiac drip management, sheath pulls, and central line management are performed in this role
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
• Every other weekend required — 6 weekend shifts (Saturday or Sunday) per 6-week schedule
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required to all inpatient units at both campuses within scope of practice
• Charting is done in Epic; experience is required
• Navy scrubs required
• No parking cost

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required (pending IL license not accepted)
• Active MO RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• High-risk cardiology experience required
• Experience with cardiac drips, sheath pulls, and central line management required
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
• Travelers may remain at this facility for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
• Former permanent employees of the health system must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Completion of orientation modules required prior to or at start of assignment
