Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring 2+ years of experience and ARRT (CT) certification in a Level II trauma community hospital setting.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting serving outpatient, inpatient, ER, and Adult ICU populations
- Community hospital with Level II Trauma designation
- Majority of patient load comes from inpatient and ER cases
- 3x12 hour night shifts from 19:00-07:00, Thursday through Saturday
- On-call requirement
- Weekend coverage not typical but possible if needed
- No floating to sister facilities required
- CT procedures include abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, CT arthrography, myelography, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction
- GE equipment used, with Toshiba experience preferred
- Cerner charting system used, with Epic experience preferred
- Guaranteed hours up to 40 per week
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist required
- ARRT (CT) and BLS certification required
- ARRT Advanced certification required
- ARRT (R) certification required
- License required if applicable
- Compact license accepted at time of submission, but Alaska state license required prior to start
- Level II Trauma experience required, Level I Trauma experience preferred
- Community hospital experience required
- Cerner charting experience required
- Skills in IV starts and contrast administration required
- Experience with biopsies and drainages required
- Knowledgeable in trauma, angios, ED, inpatient, and outpatient procedures required
- PACS experience preferred
- Experience with aspirations, brain perfusion, and drainage procedures preferred
- NICU and PICU experience preferred
- First-time travelers accepted
- Must not have worked at this facility as a traveler within the past 2 years
Additional Information
- Perform CT imaging across a wide range of procedures including abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal studies
- Requires cultural sensitivity when working with the Alaska Native population
- Patient population includes complex social histories, including domestic violence cases
- Magnet-designated facility with 152 total staffed beds
- Scrubs may be any color or pattern, with scrubs provided for L&D/OR units
- No cost for parking, with a parking structure available near the facility
- Candidates must live outside a 100-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
- Local candidates are not accepted
- COVID vaccination required for facility eligibility
- Onsite orientation modules average 4-5 hours and are completed annually via HealthStream
