Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a night shift contract at an acute care, Magnet-designated hospital serving a culturally diverse Alaska Native population.
Details
- Works in an acute care, Magnet-designated hospital with 152 staffed beds serving inpatient, outpatient, and ER patients
- Primary patient load comes from inpatient and ER settings
- Patient population includes adults, with preferred experience in NICU and PICU settings
- CT procedures include abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, CT arthrography, myelography, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction
- Preferred procedures include aspirations, brain perfusion, and drainage
- Primary equipment is GE; experience with Toshiba equipment is preferred
- Charting is done in Cerner; Cerner experience is preferred
- PACS experience preferred
- Night shifts, 3x12 hours, with shift windows of 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, 7:30 PM–7:30 AM, or 6:00 PM–6:00 AM (Thursday–Saturday)
- On-call is required for this position
- Weekend coverage is not typical but may be required
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
- Current BLS and ARRT (CT) certification required
- License required if applicable
- Proficiency with IV starts and contrast administration required
- Experience in trauma, angiography, ED, inpatient, outpatient settings, and procedures such as biopsies and drainages required
- Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform a broad range of CT procedures including abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, CT arthrography, myelography, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction
- Seasoned technologists with trauma, angio, and ED experience are strongly preferred
- Cultural sensitivity to the Alaska Native population is required; the patient population is complex with significant social history considerations
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- No floating to sister facilities is required
- No parking cost; travelers are encouraged to use the parking structure near the facility
- Scrubs may be any color or pattern
- All time off and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront prior to contract signing, as no changes will be accepted after signing
- Local candidates within 100 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
