Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Float Pool position requiring an active NJ or Compact RN license and at least 1.5 years of pediatric nursing experience.

Details

• Float pool position rotating between Pediatric Heme/Oncology (no chemo or infusions), general Pediatrics, Adolescents, Newborn Nursery, and Special Care Nursery (SCN), with potential Med/Surg assignments including PICU/NICU and Peds ED
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Every other weekend required
• Block scheduling is not available
• Charting performed in Epic
• Experience required with IV pumps, pulse oximeters, and cardiac monitoring
• Clinical procedures include IVs, TPN, G-tube, trach tubes, central lines, Foley catheters, NG tubes, respiratory treatments, transfusions, and pre/post-op care

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; APHON certification preferred
• Minimum 1.5 years of pediatric nursing experience required
• Proficiency with IV pumps, pulse oximeters, and cardiac monitoring equipment required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Two current professional references required
• Copies of all applicable certifications required
