Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Postpartum/Mother Baby position at a hospital in Washington, DC, requiring verified Cerner experience and a minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience.
Details
- Postpartum/Mother Baby (OB/GYN) unit in a hospital setting
- Patient population includes postpartum vaginal delivery, C-section, and GYN surgery patients
- Schedule: 3x12-hour day shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- Verified Cerner EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted DC RN license required (no pending licenses)
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP — AHA-issued only
- CPI certification required for this position
- Postpartum/Mother Baby experience required — this is not an L&D position
- Minimum 2 years of US hospital experience in the specialty area preferred
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
- BSN highly desired
- US Social Security Number required
- Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the past 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
- Date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provides safe, competent, patient-centered nursing care in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy
- Demonstrates service excellence standards and provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Copies of all certifications (AHA only) required for consideration
