Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Johnstown, PA, requiring a PA or compact RN license and at least 1 year of experience.

Details

• Medical Surgical Telemetry unit in a tertiary care regional referral hospital
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract
• Every other weekend required
• Level 1 Trauma Center facility serving as a regional referral hospital between Pittsburgh and Hershey, PA

Requirements

• Active RN license for Pennsylvania (PA state license or compact license accepted)
• AHA certifications required (BLS at minimum; all applicable AHA certs must be current)
• Minimum 1 year of PCU or Medical Surgical Telemetry RN experience
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates

Additional Information

• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
• Pennsylvania state background clearances are required before starting, including: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, Department of Human Services fingerprinting, FBI Department of Aging fingerprinting (accepted if completed within the last 2 years), and PA State Police (PATCH) clearance
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are currently employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
• The facility is a Duke LifePoint Hospital offering a wide range of specialty services including cardiology, oncology, trauma, neurology, and high-risk obstetrics
