Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry Float Pool position in Tucson, AZ, requiring telemetry experience, Cerner proficiency, and a willingness to float across multiple facilities.

Details

• Float pool position requiring willingness to float between multiple Med/Surg and Telemetry units across four facilities in the Tucson area
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Patient ratio of 6:1
• Requires working 6 weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday) per 6-week schedule
• EMR: Cerner experience required
• Scrubs: any color accepted

Requirements

• Active AZ RN license or compact license recognized in AZ required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required — no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required
• Telemetry experience is required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Valid driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Utilizes the Nursing Process to deliver patient-centered care in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
• Demonstrates critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in planning and prioritizing safe patient care
• Delegates and supervises patient care activities based on staff education and experience
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local travelers will not be considered
• Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years will not be considered
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
• 13-week contract
