Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a MS/Tele position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience, Cerner proficiency, and availability to cover charge nurse responsibilities as needed.
Details
- Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit (2E overflow) in a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital may be required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active IN or Compact RN license required; a temporary IN license is accepted but must be in hand at time of start
- Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required; both AHA and RQI formats accepted
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Cerner charting experience required
- RN degree must be from a program accredited by ACEN or CCNE at time of graduation
- 2 supervisor references required
- SSN and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Charge nurse coverage may be required based on operational needs; training and resources will be provided
- Candidates must be comfortable with potential charge nurse responsibilities
- First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
- Indiana residents are considered local and are not eligible for this position
- Former permanent or PRN employees of IU Health must have been separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
- Travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment within IU Health are required to take a consecutive break to reset eligibility: out-of-state residents require a 90-day break, in-state residents require a 180-day break
- Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- RTO is not available for the following periods: Memorial Day weekend, Father's Day weekend, 4th of July weekend, Labor Day weekend, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
