Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a 13-week night shift assignment in a Level III Trauma Center's Imaging Department, requiring ARRT (CT & R) certification and acute care experience in a high-volume setting.
Details
- Level III Trauma Center with 375 licensed beds located in Puyallup, WA
- Imaging Department with 3 CT suites, including a Siemens Dual Source CT 128 Flash, Definition 64 (interventional CT), and Definition Edge 128 in the ER
- Night shift patient population is approximately 90% ER and ICU patients
- High-volume environment with over 100 patients seen in a 24-hour period
- Cases include general, diagnostic, and interventional CT, ER and critical cases; cardiac CT experience preferred
- 12-hour night shifts, Friday through Sunday from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 2–3 on-call shifts per month; call hours are 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Floating is not typically required
- EMR: Epic; PACS: Change Healthcare; Injector: MedRad; Medication dispensing: Pyxis
- Up to 5 CT Techs on during business hours; 3 CT Techs after 5:00 PM
Requirements
- Current BLS, ARRT (CT & R), and WA state license required if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of CT experience in a large Level III or higher acute care facility
- Acute care hospital experience required; critical access-only experience is not sufficient
- Experience with ER, ICU, interventional, and diagnostic CT case types
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume trauma environment
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will be considered provided they have experience in a large Level III+ facility with broad CT experience
- Radiologist support is available on-site during the day and remote at night; IR MD and PA available to assist with CT cases
- CT transporter available except between 4:00 AM and 9:00 AM; Respiratory Therapy and Hospitalist support also available
- Orientation includes a new employee orientation (NEO) followed by approximately 1 week of department orientation, with flexibility for additional time if needed
- Schedule follows a fixed, repeating rotation with minor alterations; shift variance requests cannot be accommodated unless the desired shift is already posted
- Holiday coverage is expected on an every-other-holiday basis
- RTO requests must be approved by the manager
- Scrubs should be any solid color with professional appearance; no logos or designs
- Free parking available on-site
- COVID vaccine required
- 2 professional references required (supervisor-level or above); 1 reference may be submitted for initial consideration with the 2nd required prior to start
