Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg - Medical/Renal/Gastroenterology unit position requiring an active NJ RN license, BLS certification, and at least 1 year of experience.

Details

• Inpatient Med/Surg unit specializing in medical, renal, and gastroenterology patients
• 12-hour PM shifts (7p–7a), 3 days per week, 36 hours per week
• On-call responsibilities required
• Floating required, including to a nearby sister hospital

Requirements

• Active NJ RN license (or compact license) required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Perform thorough, systematic patient assessments across a diverse patient population from pediatric to geriatric
• Provide direct patient care and demonstrate competency with emergency equipment and procedures
• Maintain complete and accurate nursing documentation including patient education and progress toward care outcomes
• Uphold National Patient Safety Goals including use of two patient identifiers and Universal Protocol
• Individualize patient care based on diagnoses, procedures, and patient needs, with a focus on surgical and perioperative considerations
• Two professional references are required for consideration
• Travelers may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from their initial start date before a required break
