Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Hermitage, TN, requiring at least 2 years of L&D experience and active fetal monitoring certification.

Details

• Women's Services unit (OB/NICU) located on the 2nd floor of the facility
• 24-bed LDRP unit and 10-bed NICU
• Patient ratios: 1:1–2 for Labor & Delivery, 1:4 for Postpartum, 1:4 for Well Infants, and 1:2–3 for NICU
• Procedures performed include labor support and C-sections
• Equipment includes fetal monitoring and Alaris IV pumps
• Documentation system: CPN
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts, 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM)
• 13-week contract
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active TN or Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP (Advanced 9th Edition, American Academy of Pediatrics), and Intermediate or Advanced AWHONN Fetal Monitoring or NCCEFM
• Minimum 2 years of recent L&D experience required
• Fetal monitoring skills required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• Professional reference required for consideration
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• All certifications must remain valid for at least 30 days beyond the contract start date

Additional Information

• Unit is supported by RNs, unit coordinators (UCs), PCTs, and lactation staff
• Scrub color requirement: black and hot pink
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• AHA or ARC certifications are accepted
