Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with at least 1 year of CT experience for an evening shift hospital position in Lafayette, CO.

Details

• Position is based in a hospital CT department in Lafayette, CO
• Evening 12-hour shifts, Monday through Wednesday from 12:00 PM to 12:30 AM
• 36 hours per week, 3 days per week
• Rotating on-call required, including assigned holidays
• Charting performed in Epic

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of CT experience in a hospital setting
• Associate's degree required
• Active BLS certification (AHA) required; must not expire prior to start date
• ARRT (R) certification required
• ARRT (CT) certification required
• Fluoroscopy certification required for candidates practicing in the state of Colorado
• State license required if applicable
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
• Proficiency with CT imaging techniques, protocols, and equipment operation
• Experience with contrast administration protocols and contrast injector operation
• Proficiency with electronic imaging including image viewing, transfer, and manipulation
• Ability to recognize and respond to emergent patient situations

Additional Information

• Performs a variety of CT procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes, requiring independent judgment to produce high-quality scans
• Responsibilities include patient identification and order verification, exam preparation, image quality review, and radiation safety compliance
• Administers contrast media as ordered by a physician and under radiologist or physician supervision per protocol
• Coordinates patient care and communicates pertinent information to other care providers following procedures
• Maintains accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and any adverse reactions or incidents
• Participates in continuing education and assists in instructing students and other radiology technologists in exam protocols and positioning
• Permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
