Description
American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with a minimum of 2 years of experience and required pediatric echo proficiency for a travel assignment at a Level I Trauma Teaching Hospital.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital setting within a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated teaching facility with 268 staffed beds
- Pediatric echo unit utilizing an extensive pediatric protocol covering all anatomical views including Subxiphoid, Parasternal, Suprasternal, Right Parasternal, and Apical views
- Charting is performed in Cerner
- Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Weekend coverage required on an as-needed basis
- On-call required: call schedule runs Monday night (5:30 PM) through Friday morning (7:00 AM)
- No floating required
- Free parking available on-site
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer
- Significant pediatric echo experience required — equivalent to at least 1 year of full-time pediatric work averaging 20 echoes per week, or 4–5 years part-time averaging 4–5 echoes per week using a full pediatric protocol
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- ARRT certification required
- License required if applicable
- Experience with Cerner preferred

- Preferred skills include EP, Structural Heart, MacLab, and Xper
- Any color scrubs are permitted
- All time-off requests must be submitted upfront; RTO is subject to unit manager approval
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
- A full 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required for consideration
