Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with at least 1 year of CT experience for a night shift travel contract at an academic community hospital in Danville, VA.

Details

• Radiology department (CT Scan) on the 2nd floor of a 250-bed academic community hospital
• Patient population is primarily adult and geriatric; pediatric cases are rare
• Common diagnoses include PE, stroke, kidney stones, appendicitis, chest pain, abdominal pain, and MVA trauma
• Equipment includes GE VCT 64-slice and GE Brightspeed 16-slice CT scanners
• EMR: Meditech
• 3x12 night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Monday through Wednesday
• Weekend hours are variable, covering when staff is off (every other weekend)
• No call or float requirements
• 13-week contract based in Danville, VA

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of CT technologist experience
• ARRT certification required
• AHA BLS (CPR) certification required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Active licensure required if applicable
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
• Must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Must not be employed full-time elsewhere

Additional Information

• Perform CT imaging for a range of diagnoses including PE, stroke, kidney stones, appendicitis, chest pain, abdominal pain, and trauma
• Strong critical thinking skills and a team-oriented, positive attitude are expected
• Consent to random drug screening and completion of a Criminal Questionnaire/Consent Form are required; drug screens are completed on site
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable; jeans and leggings are not permitted
• Facility is a designated Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center accredited by the ACC and ACS Commission on Cancer
• Orientation is held bi-weekly on Tuesdays
