Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced NICU RN for a Level 2 NICU position in Rochester, NY, requiring an active NY RN license and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Level 2 NICU unit aligned with Women's Health services, caring for neonates 33 weeks gestational age and above
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
• Rotating weekend requirement
• Some floating to the Postpartum unit for newborn care
• 8-week contract with possibility of extension
• Epic EMR required

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required prior to consideration
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of NICU RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Ability to perform newborn catches in the OR for C-section cases
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• This Level 2 NICU functions within a Women's Health service line rather than a critical care environment
• Nurses may be assigned to float to the Postpartum unit to provide newborn care
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
