Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced NICU RN for a Level 2 NICU position in Rochester, NY, requiring a valid NY RN license and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Level 2 NICU unit, aligned with Women's Health services rather than critical care
• Patient population consists of neonates at 33 weeks gestation and above
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Rotating weekend requirement
• Some floating to the Postpartum unit for newborn care
• Epic EMR experience required
• 8-week contract with possibility of extension

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required prior to consideration
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of NICU RN experience required
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• Ability to perform baby catches in the OR for C-section cases
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to Level 2 NICU patients, including neonates 33 weeks and above
• Must be prepared to assist with newborn deliveries in the OR during C-sections
• May float to the Postpartum unit to assist with newborn care as needed
• 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
• All time-off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
