Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position at a large academic medical center in Michigan, requiring a minimum of 2 years of PreOp & PACU experience with ICU-level patient care.

Details

• Work setting is a 12-story, 264-bed hospital featuring a state-of-the-art neurosciences center, specialty thoracic care services, 20 surgical suites, and three interventional radiology suites
• The PreOp/PACU department spans two floors: L4 (Otolaryngology, Oral Maxillofacial, and General Thoracic) and L6 (Neurosurgery, Orthospine, Neurointerventional Radiology, and MRI)
• Patient population includes surgical and procedural patients requiring ICU-level post-anesthesia care across a range of high-acuity specialties
• Shifts are either 8-hour or 10-hour, totaling 40 hours per week, on afternoon/evening rotations: 8-hr options run 12:00p–8:30p or 2:00p–10:30p; 10-hr options run 9:00a–7:30p or 11:00a–9:30p
• No call, floating, or weekend requirements

Requirements

• Active Michigan (MI) RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; CAPA and/or CPAN certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of combined PreOp and PACU experience, specifically caring for ICU-level patients
• 2 supervisory professional references required for consideration (charge nurse references not accepted)
