Description
American Traveler is seeking a Chemo Certified Oncology RN for a 13-week travel contract in Tyler, TX, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification.
Details
- Oncology unit within an acute care hospital setting
- Patient population includes all cancer diagnoses as well as malignant and non-malignant hematology conditions
- Primary duties involve chemotherapy and immunotherapy administration
- Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Epic EMR used; experience preferred
Requirements
- Active TX RN license or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
- Candidates residing in the following TX counties are not eligible: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
- No travel pairs or groups accepted
- RTO is limited to no more than 3 days and is not permitted during the first week of orientation
- First-time travelers may be considered — check position details for eligibility
