Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Epic experience, ACLS, BLS, NIH, and PALS certifications, with night shifts and a minimum of 1.5 years of ED experience.

Details

• Emergency Department setting with 45 beds and approximately 160 patient visits per day
• Patient population includes pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Patient ratios are 1:6, and may increase up to 1:8 depending on staffing, acuity, and triage
• ER Techs and transport sitters are available on the unit
• Charting is performed in Epic; prior experience is required
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Weekend and holiday shifts may be required based on department needs

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and PALS
• Minimum 1.5 years of ED nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Two current professional references required for consideration

• Travel pairs are not accepted for this position

• All time off requests must be submitted and approved prior to accepting an offer; schedule requests cannot be accommodated after the start date
• Block scheduling is not available
• Iron Temple Training Center certification is required within 14 days of the start date; cost is approximately $53 + tax and is out-of-pocket
• Black scrubs are required
• Former RWJBH staff (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the RWJBH health system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
