Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract requiring Level I trauma experience and proficiency in a broad range of surgical specialties including general surgery, gynecology, and orthopedics.
Details
- Hospital-based Operating Room setting serving a wide patient population including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Day shift schedule working 4x10-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
- Level I Trauma facility
- General surgery, gynecological, and orthopedic procedures performed regularly
- On-call requirements will be discussed during the interview process
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active AZ RN license or a compact RN license accepted in Arizona required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
- Level I Trauma experience required
- General surgery experience required, including: appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, inguinal/umbilical hernia repair, laparoscopic-assisted procedures, partial/total thyroidectomy, and Whipple procedure
- Gynecological surgical experience required, including: abdominal/vaginal hysterectomy, anterior/posterior repair, bilateral tubal ligation, dilation & curettage, and laparoscopic-assisted gynecological procedures
- Orthopedic surgical experience required, including: arthroscopy, closed/open reduction of fractures, laminectomy/discectomy, and total joint replacement
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Preferred experience includes neurology, burns, scrub/hand/burn surgery, and previous charge nurse experience
