Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg position requiring at least 2 years of experience, with night shifts and every other weekend coverage.
Details
- Inpatient Medical Surgical unit in a hospital setting
- Patient ratio of 1:7
- Night shift schedule: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (3x12-hour shifts per week)
- 36-hour weekly work commitment
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active TN or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
- AHA BLS certification required (AHA-issued only)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Med/Surg and Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
- Two supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Candidate must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Orientation begins on Sundays with online computer-based learning (CBLs)
- Travelers are expected to support nursing students and participate in clinical education alongside their regular patient care duties
- Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
