Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Eureka, CA, with high-risk OB experience and Epic proficiency required.
Details
- Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting serving a culturally diverse, high-risk OB population
- Unit consists of 11 rooms and 15 beds with an average daily census of 15–20 patients
- RNs are expected to circulate on cesarean sections
- Postpartum experience is preferred
- Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Weekend work required to meet staffing needs
- Floating is required within scope of practice across facilities in the state; travelers are floated first
- Epic EMR experience required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required; pending licenses are not accepted
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience required
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- RTO is limited to no more than 7 days for the duration of the assignment
- Former permanent employees of this health system must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility, including travel, registry, or per-diem assignments, and provide location and dates
