Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Acute Care Med/Surg Adult night shift position in Colorado, requiring at least 3 years of Med/Surg experience and AHA-issued BLS and ACLS certifications.

Details

• Acute care hospital Med/Surg unit serving adult patients
• Patient population includes post-operative orthopedic surgery patients, hybrid cath lab procedure/surgery patients, and patients with acute and chronic illnesses
• Unit also handles observation and telemetry Med/Surg cases
• 12-hour night shifts with weekend rotation required
• On-call rotation required: 1 call shift per 2-week period if needed for staffing

Requirements

• Active CO RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications, both issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience in Med/Surg, Acute Care, Telemetry, or a similar setting
• Flu vaccination required with no declinations accepted (required October 1 through April 1, must be from the current flu season)
• Date of birth (DOB) or Social Security Number (SSN) required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating patient care using the nursing process
• ACLS is required to provide intermediate care in the CCU as needed
• Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates accepted
• Colorado requires a CAPS background check, which may take up to two weeks to obtain — candidates should plan accordingly
• Facility-managed furnished housing (studio and 1-bedroom apartments) is available approximately half a block from the hospital for direct rental during the assignment, based on availability — contact the AM Department for more information
