Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with acute care hospital experience and active CA licensure for a 13-week assignment requiring Epic proficiency and a willingness to float between facilities statewide.

  • Acute care hospital setting
  • Day shift schedule, Sunday through Thursday, 8-hour shifts (8:00–16:30)
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active OT license; CA state license required (pending license not accepted)
  • Minimum 1 year of OT acute care experience
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • BLS certification required if applicable
  • Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
  • Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
  • All travelers are expected to float between facilities within California; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment
  • RTO is limited to no more than 7 days for the duration of the assignment
  • Navy or khaki scrubs required
  • Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience for my first travel assignment. American Traveler has made the entire process feel easy from start to finish. Whether it’s my recruiter, Amanda, or Iranna from payroll, I always get a quick response when I have a question. It’s nice working with a team that actually follows up and keeps you in the loop. Amanda has been awesome throughout my assignment. She checks in regularly with a call or text just to see how things are going and make sure I don’t need anything. That level of support has really stood out to me. I’m rly happy I chose American Traveler for my first assignment, and I wouldn’t hesitate to work with them again.
