Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience, including Level I Trauma and community hospital settings, for an evening shift contract position.
Details
- Work settings include adult acute care, adult outpatient, emergency department, and ICU in a Level I Trauma and Level II Trauma Center environment
- Imaging studies include abdomen/pelvis with and without contrast, chest, head and neck, spine and musculoskeletal (cervical, thoracic, lumbar), CT arthrography, brain perfusion, and myelography
- Special procedures include aspirations, biopsies, drainage, and transplant studies
- Equipment includes Siemens CT scanners and PACS
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- 4x10 hour evening shifts, Monday through Thursday, 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM
- No on-call required
- Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience
- ARRT (CT) and BLS certifications required
- Level I Trauma experience required; Level II Trauma experience preferred
- Community hospital experience required; teaching hospital experience preferred
- Must be proficient in the preparation and/or administration of contrast media
- Must be able to start peripheral IVs — this is a hard requirement
- GA license or Compact license required if applicable
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted
- All RTO must be finalized prior to acceptance — no RTO or schedule changes can be requested after an offer is made or once onsite
- Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
- If 1 or 2 major holidays fall during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work all of them; if 3 major holidays fall during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work 2 of the 3
- Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
- Former permanent, per diem, or flex staff must have been away from all system facilities for at least 1 full year before applying as a traveler
- Travelers who previously canceled or received a facility do-not-return must complete one assignment outside the health system before reapplying
- Compliance onboarding items and labs must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing; all documents are due the Tuesday prior to the start date
- No alternate shift or schedule requests are permitted; the posted shift is firm
