Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer for a 13-week night shift assignment in Temple, TX, requiring a minimum of 3 years of experience at Level I Trauma and Level IV NICU facilities.

Details

• Hospital-based imaging/ultrasound department serving ambulatory and inpatient populations, including newborn, pediatric, young adult, adult, and geriatric patients
• Experience with Level I Trauma and Level IV NICU patient populations required
• Schedule is 4x10-hour night shifts, Tuesday through Friday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• On-call may be required based on department needs

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of ultrasound/sonography experience
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• ARDMS (RDMS-AB) or RVT certification required
• ARRT-S certification required
• Active TX license required if applicable
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• DOB and SSN required for consideration
• Flu vaccination is mandatory; no exemptions accepted

Additional Information

• Performs high-quality ultrasound procedures in accordance with established exam protocols, including invasive multimodality procedures using proper sterile technique
• Responsible for patient identification, positioning, equipment setup, and adjusting exposure controls
• Documents and maintains medical imaging records in PACS, EMR, image exchange systems, and modality worklist in compliance with department policies
• Expected to adhere to infection control, safety, hand hygiene, and radiation protection protocols
• May serve as a trainer for new team members and on new services or initiatives
• Any solid color scrubs required; no prints
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local travelers are not accepted
