Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Eureka, CA, requiring 1 year of L&D experience and Epic proficiency on a night shift schedule.
Details
- Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting serving a high-risk OB and culturally diverse patient population
- Unit has 11 rooms and 15 beds with an average daily census of 15–20 patients
- RNs are expected to circulate on cesarean sections
- Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
- Weekend shifts required to meet staffing needs
- Travelers are first to float within their scope of practice to meet facility needs, including across facilities within the state
- Epic EMR experience required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required; pending license not accepted
- Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- Post-partum experience preferred
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- RTO is limited to no more than 7 days for the duration of the assignment
- Former permanent staff of this health system must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Candidates must disclose any prior work history with Providence facilities, including travel, permanent, or per-diem roles
