Description
American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC-SLP certification and pediatric outpatient experience for a 13-week travel contract in a pediatric SLP unit.
Details
- Pediatric outpatient setting within a hospital-based SLP unit
- Patient population includes infants, pediatrics, and adolescents
- Caseload focuses on autism, birth defects, developmental delays, and language disorders
- Approximately 9 patient visits per day
- Documentation systems include WellSky and Epic
- Flexible schedule available as either 4x10-hour shifts (Mon, Tue, Thu 7:30am–6:00pm; Fri 7:30am–5:00pm) or 5x8-hour shifts (3 days 9:30am–6:00pm, 2 days 7:30am–4:00pm)
- Day shift position with no weekend requirements
Requirements
- CCC-SLP certification required
- BLS certification required
- At least 1–2 years of experience as a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Pediatric outpatient setting experience required
- Experience with autism, birth defects, developmental delays, and language disorders required
- Knowledge of signs and symptoms of physical, sexual, and psychological abuse required
- Experience with patient and family education required
- Proficiency in billing documentation including assessments, evaluations, discharge summaries, Medicaid documentation, plans of care, reassessments, and SLP evaluation coding required
- License required if applicable

- Support staff includes interpretation services, physical therapy, and a unit secretary
- Black scrubs are required
- 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
- All time off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
