Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Orange, CA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and the ability to circulate and perform sterile vaginal exams.
Details
- Labor & Delivery unit within a 426-bed Magnet-designated acute care hospital
- Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 07:00–19:30
- Weekends may exceed every other weekend to accommodate unit needs
- Floating between all facilities within California may be required; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
- Charting via Epic (experience required)
- Free parking available on-site
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required; pending license not accepted
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate; AWHONN Advanced preferred
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience required
- Must be able to circulate in the OR
- Must be able to perform sterile vaginal exams
- Experience in a large acute care hospital setting highly preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Travel pairs will not be accepted
- Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be accommodated
- Minimal to no RTO; all RTO requests must be submitted at time of application
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel pay rates
- Former permanent staff of the Providence health system must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Scrubs are provided for L&D RNs
