Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse - Operating Room specializing in Urology, Gynecology/Oncology, and kidney/pancreas transplant with robotic surgery experience for a hospital setting requiring a WI or compact RN license.

Details

  • Operating Room unit specializing in GU, GYN, and transplant (kidney, pancreas, procurement) procedures
  • Day/evening 12-hour shifts, 0640-1910 x3 weekly with potential for one 0940-2210 shift biweekly
  • Weekend rotation and weekday call requirement
  • 1:1 patient ratio
  • Uses Epic charting system
  • Floating required as needed
  • Performs procedures including kidney transplant, Da Vinci Xi robotic surgery, hysterectomy, nephrectomy, cystectomy, ureteroscopy, HOLEP, and laparoscopic gynecologic surgery

Requirements

  • Active WI or compact RN license required
  • BLS certification required (AHA only)
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience within the last 3 years in Operating Room specialty
  • Experience required in Urology, Gynecology/Oncology, kidney transplant, pancreas transplant, and robotic surgery
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to start, including 100% identification of lethal rhythms
  • Skills required include gynecologic and urologic procedures, robotic-assisted surgery, specimen handling, and emergency management protocols

Additional Information

  • Located at a Magnet-designated teaching hospital ranked as Wisconsin's #1 hospital
  • Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
  • Previous charge nurse experience preferred
  • Teaching hospital experience preferred
  • Candidates must reside 50 miles or more from the facility as locals are not accepted
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Parking permit required if parking onsite, with alternative transportation options available
