Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position requiring pediatric ER experience and central line placement skills.
Details
- Work in a hospital Emergency Department setting
- Pediatric ER patient population
- 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- 36 hours per week
- 14-week assignment
- Uses Epic EMR system
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification required
- ENPC or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 6 months of hire
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Minimum 1 year recent full-time equivalent experience within the last 3 years
- Pediatric ER experience required
- Experience placing central lines required
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field preferred
- CEN certification preferred
- TNCC certification preferred
- NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
- Demonstrated ability to recognize and interpret cardiac dysrhythmias preferred
- Last 4 digits of SSN and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Must be available to start by August 3rd with no alternate orientation dates available
- Medical clearance must be completed by a specified deadline or offer will be cancelled
- Maximum of 5 days of time off approved during the assignment
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
- Licenses and certifications must be active at the time of consideration; pending credentials not accepted
