Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position requiring pediatric ER experience and central line placement skills.

Details

• Work in a hospital Emergency Department setting
• Pediatric ER patient population
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 36 hours per week
• 14-week assignment
• Uses Epic EMR system

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification required
• ENPC or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 6 months of hire
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Minimum 1 year recent full-time equivalent experience within the last 3 years
• Pediatric ER experience required
• Experience placing central lines required
• Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field preferred
• CEN certification preferred
• TNCC certification preferred
• NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
• Demonstrated ability to recognize and interpret cardiac dysrhythmias preferred
• Last 4 digits of SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Must be available to start by August 3rd with no alternate orientation dates available
• Medical clearance must be completed by a specified deadline or offer will be cancelled
• Maximum of 5 days of time off approved during the assignment
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
• Licenses and certifications must be active at the time of consideration; pending credentials not accepted
