Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care (IMC) position in a Progressive Care Unit, requiring ACLS certification and experience with cardiac patients and titrating drips on night shifts.
Details
- Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Intermediate Care (IMC) setting within a hospital
- Patient population includes cardiac patients, open heart surgery recovery, TAVR, Watchman, and post-cardiac procedure patients
- IMC pod consists of 8 patients with conditions including new BiPAP, DKA, CIWA, and patients requiring titrating drips
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts)
- Every third weekend required
- Rotating holiday coverage required
- No on-call responsibilities
Requirements
- Active IL RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (RQI certifications are not accepted)
- Experience with cardiac patient populations required
- Experience managing titrating drips required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include caring for complex cardiac and post-procedure patients as well as IMC patients requiring close monitoring and drip titration
