Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medicine Specialty Unit position requiring Med/Surg and Stepdown experience, with a 4-day, 12-hour day shift schedule.

- Position is based in a hospital Medicine Specialty Unit
- Patient population includes a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
- Day shift schedule: 12-hour shifts, 4 days per week (48 hours/week)
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active OK RN license or valid eNLC compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Med/Surg and Stepdown experience required
- 1 year of travel nursing experience required
- Level 1 trauma experience preferred
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Proficiency in professional nursing techniques, care planning, and IV/blood product administration
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include managing an assigned patient group, administering medications, initiating and monitoring IV infusions and blood products, and coordinating discharge planning with patients and families
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation before being eligible for a new contract (prior travelers may extend only once, for a total of 26 weeks)
- Compliance deadlines at this facility are strictly enforced — candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding requirements immediately upon accepting an offer
