Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift position requiring ARRT CT certification and at least 1 year of CT experience.

Details

• Radiology CT department on the main campus with 2 rooms featuring Philips CT scanners
• 300-bed acute care hospital with Level 3 trauma designation
• Patient population includes chest, abdomen, pelvis, head, c-spine, and PE studies for ages 0-100
• Unit performs approximately 40 CT scans per 24-hour period
• Respiratory and anesthesia support available 24/7
• EPIC used for documentation and PbXIS for medication management
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
• Schedule follows a rotating pattern of 3 consecutive shifts, 1 day off, 3 more consecutive shifts, then 6 days off
• Weekend, call, and holiday requirements as scheduled, with at least every other weekend
• No self-scheduling and no block schedules
• Floating and charge responsibilities not required

Requirements

• ARRT CT certification required
• NY state license required, or proof of pending application required for consideration; license required if applicable
• NYS DOH venipuncture certification required for performing injections
• NY injection certification preferred, with support provided during orientation if needed
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience required
• Minimum of 1 year of CT specialty experience required
• EPIC experience within the past 2 years required
• Must be comfortable performing venipuncture and CT injections

Additional Information

• Perform CT imaging procedures including chest, abdomen, pelvis, head, c-spine, and PE studies
• Tech will perform venipuncture and contrast injections
• 14 days of facility orientation provided
• Must work 2 of the following 3 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas/Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day/Eve
• Gray scrubs required, closed-toe shoes only, and hair/facial hair must be properly secured to allow respirator fit
• Jewelry must not interfere with work duties
• Reliable personal or rental vehicle strongly recommended as public transportation is not accessible in the area
• Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November through April
• Local candidates accepted
• Radius-based pay rates apply based on direct-line mileage: travel (101+ miles), radius (51-100 miles), local (50 miles or less)
