Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a night shift assignment requiring ARRT CT certification and a minimum of 1 year of CT experience.
Details
- Hospital-based Radiology CT-Main Campus unit with 2 rooms featuring Philips CT scanners
- 300-bed facility with a Level 3 trauma designation
- Patient population includes chest, abdomen, pelvis, head, c-spine, and PE studies across all ages (0-100)
- Unit performs approximately 40 CT scans per 24-hour period
- 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Schedule follows a rotating pattern of 3 consecutive shifts, 1 day off, 3 more consecutive shifts, then 6 days off
- Weekend coverage required at least every other weekend
- Call and holiday coverage required as scheduled
- Floating and charge responsibilities are not required
- Respiratory and Anesthesia support available 24/7
- Uses EPIC for documentation and PbXIS for medication system
Requirements
- ARRT CT certification required
- NY state license required, or proof of pending application required for consideration; license required if applicable
- NYS DOH venipuncture certification required, as techs will perform injections
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in CT specialty required
- EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years required
- NY injection certification preferred, with facility support to obtain during orientation if needed
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include performing CT scans and venipuncture/injections for a variety of diagnostic studies
- 14 days of orientation provided
- Bi-weekly orientation start dates available
- Gray scrubs required, along with closed-toe shoes and properly secured hair/facial hair for respirator fit
- Jewelry must not interfere with work duties
- Reliable personal transportation strongly recommended, as public transportation is not accessible in the area
- Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November through April
- Facility does not accommodate block scheduling
- First-time travelers will be considered for this role
- Local candidates within 50 miles may be eligible for local rate consideration
- Radius rate applies for candidates residing 50-100 miles from the facility
