Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week travel contract in California, requiring at least one year of acute care RN experience and current BLS and ACLS certifications.

• Position is in a hospital ICU setting
• Day shift schedule: 07:00–19:30
• 13-week contract (90 days)
• Floating to units of competency may be required
• Experience with the facility's specific EMR system is required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)
• NIHSS certification required
• DCI/BVP (Workplace Violence Prevention) certification required — can be completed via Relias, Healthcare Staffing Hire, or the free CDC NIOSH resource
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital; critical care experience preferred
• DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for delivering safe patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Provides direct patient care within scope of practice and directs activities of other nursing personnel
• Communicates with physicians regarding changes in patient condition, including hemodynamic monitoring, diagnostic results, and symptomatology
• Responsible for patient/family teaching and maintaining ICU standards of care
• COVID vaccination preferred
