Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with strong orthopedic experience for a 13-week travel contract requiring an active FL or compact RN license.
Details
- Hospital-based Operating Room (OR) setting
- Strong orthopedic surgical caseload
- Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM (10-hour day shifts, 4 days per week)
- Call is required for this position
- Floating to sister campus OR units may be required; all campuses are within 15–20 minutes of each other
- EMR: Epic
Requirements
- Active FL RN license or compact RN license (must be verifiable through Nursys)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
- Strong orthopedic OR experience required
- Degree from an accredited nursing program required (ACEN, CNEA, CCNE, or FL Dept. of Health approved), OR a minimum of 5 years of RN experience in lieu of accreditation documentation
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Driver's license address must match address on file with the Board of Nursing
- Must provide full DOB and SSN for consideration
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify; this rule is strictly enforced
- Block scheduling requests are not accepted; all time-off requests must be submitted prior to offer and will not be accepted afterward
- Orientation begins on a Friday; nurses must be present at the facility in person for badge/ID issuance
- Travelers are first priority for floating and should be prepared to work at sister campuses
- Candidates must be flexible and willing to secure full-time housing in the area for the duration of the contract
