Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical ICU position in Worcester, MA, requiring MA licensure and a minimum of 2 years of SICU experience with high-acuity trauma and transplant patients.
Details
- Surgical ICU (SICU) setting within a high-acuity, busy hospital environment
- Patient population includes surgical, trauma, and transplant cases
- Patient ratio is 1:1–2
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required to other adult ICUs and stepdown units as needed
- Charting is done in Epic
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required; conditional MA license accepted if candidate is actively working toward permanent licensure
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- SICU experience is required; candidates with both previous travel experience and Level I Trauma experience may also be considered
- Must pass a pass/fail EKG/telemetry test at orientation (one attempt allowed)
- Two professional references required, with at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher
- Candidate must reside more than 200 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- RTO is minimized, with a preferred maximum of 3–5 days
- Nurses with prior disciplinary actions on their nursing license are not eligible for this position
- Contract lengths of 13, 20, or 26 weeks are accepted
