Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with neonatal and pediatric experience for a day shift travel assignment at a regional health center in Ottumwa, IA.
Details
- Regional health center serving a wide range of specialties including emergency medicine, critical care, obstetrics, pediatrics, and cardiac services
- Respiratory Therapy department with 75 beds
- Patient population ranges from adults and geriatrics to possible micro-premies through hospice
- Equipment includes Vocsn Ventilators and V60 BiPAPs
- Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Every other weekend required
- May be required to float within a 25-mile radius of the facility
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Some neonatal and pediatric experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP (AHA certifications required)
- Iowa state license required if applicable
- Social Security number required for consideration
- Date of birth required for consideration
- Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Cannot be employed elsewhere full time
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Provide respiratory therapy services to a diverse patient population including neonatal, pediatric, adult, geriatric, and hospice patients
- Iowa SING background check (criminal and child abuse portions) required prior to start — no instant or statewide searches accepted
- Mandatory Reporter certification required (Child and Adult)
- 10-panel drug screening including opiates required
