Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Lafayette, IN, requiring a minimum of 3 years of ED experience and active ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications.
Details
- Work in a 32-bed Emergency Department treating medical, injured, and mental health patients across the lifespan
- Standard patient ratio of 1:4, with higher ratios for lower acuity patients
- Uses Level I fluid warmers and Epic EMR
- Mid-shift schedule: 11:00 AM – 11:30 PM (3x12s)
- Every other weekend shift required
- No on-call or floating requirements
Requirements
- Active IN or Compact RN license required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS; TNCC preferred
- Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Department experience
- Experience caring for patients across the lifespan required
- Trauma care experience preferred
- US Social Security Number required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provides emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population including medical, trauma, and behavioral health cases
- EKG testing is required as part of the hiring process; candidates are allowed 2 attempts, with the option to reapply after 30 days if unsuccessful
- Pre-start education modules will be assigned as part of onboarding
- Navy scrubs required; facility dress code applies
- Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible to apply
