Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a weekend night shift travel contract requiring scrub and circulate proficiency, Level I/II trauma experience, and a PA or compact RN license in hand.

Details

• Work setting is a community hospital Operating Room at a Level II Trauma Center
• Specialties include Vascular, Neuro, Ortho, Trauma, Urology, General Surgery, OMFS, Podiatry, and Endovascular procedures
• Robotic surgery experience required, with a focus on urologic robotics; pulmonary (bronch/EBUS) experience is a plus
• Weekend-only schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• No on-call requirement, though optional pick-up shifts are available
• Charts using Epic (experience required)
• Scrubs are provided by the facility

Requirements

• Active PA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand required
• Current certifications required: BLS, NIHSS, and Trauma Certification (TNCC or equivalent trauma class certificate)
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
• Must be proficient in both scrub and circulate roles
• Level I and Level II Trauma experience required
• Experience required in: Vascular, Neuro, Ortho/Spine, Trauma, Urology, General Surgery, Endovascular (open and endovascular), OMFS, and Podiatry
• Robotic surgery proficiency required, particularly urologic robotics
• Charge Nurse experience preferred but not required
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• PA fingerprinting (Childline) is required — results can take up to 2 weeks, so candidates should be prepared to complete this process promptly

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but will be offered a local rate differential
• All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application — RTO requests submitted after will not be accepted, and block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• Labs must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
• Orientation includes module completion; modules must be finished within the first 8 hours of orientation
