Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level IV NICU position requiring at least 2 years of NICU III/IV experience, including a minimum of 1 year in a Level IV NICU.

Details

  • Work in the NICU of a Level IV facility with a Level One Pediatric Trauma Center on site
  • Cares for neonatal patients across a range of gestational ages, including those under 28 weeks
  • Patient ratio of 1:1 to 1:3
  • Day and night 12-hour shifts available (7:00am-7:30pm or 7:00pm-7:30am), Friday-Sunday
  • Uses Epic charting system
  • Floating required as needed
  • Manages post-op patients, g-tubes, and trach/vent care including invasive and noninvasive ventilation

Requirements

  • Active WI RN license or compact license required
  • Current BLS and NRP certifications required (AHA only); PALS preferred
  • Minimum 2 years total NICU III/IV experience with at least 1 year in a Level IV NICU required
  • Epic EMR experience required, preferably within the last 12 months
  • Prior travel nursing experience required, preferably including at least one Level IV NICU assignment
  • Experience with post-op patient care, g-tube management, and trach/vent care required
  • Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to start, including 100% identification of lethal rhythms and an 80% or higher overall passing score

Additional Information

  • Provide comprehensive neonatal intensive care including respiratory support, medication administration, and developmental care
  • Facility is a Magnet-designated, comprehensive pediatric medical and surgical center with nationally recognized pediatric specialists
  • Skills such as arterial line management, UAC/UVC care, ventilator management, and neonatal dosage calculations are utilized
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted
  • First-time travelers with Level IV NICU experience will be considered
  • Parking permit required if parking onsite, with alternative transportation options available
