Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract at a Joint Commission Accredited hospital in Clyde, NC, requiring at least 2 years of OR circulating experience and AHA BLS/ACLS certifications.

Details

• Work in a 6-suite OR department (6 OR suites, 1 CSOR) at a 154-bed Duke Lifepoint hospital on the first floor
• Surgical specialties include orthopedics, GYN, general surgery, urology, plastics, spine, podiatry, ENT, and ophthalmology
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Day shift: 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM
• 36-hour work week
• On-call requirements: 2nd call one weekend per month; 1st/2nd call twice per pay period
• Weekends are variable with on-call expectations
• No floating required
• EMR: Paragon

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license required
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of OR circulating experience required
• ADN or higher required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Must reside 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate

• OR circulating is the primary responsibility of this role
• Fast-paced environment requiring strong organizational skills and flexibility
• Hospital-issued scrubs provided
• Orientation is conducted bi-weekly
• Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
• Located in Clyde, NC, approximately 20 miles from Asheville and within driving distance of the Great Smoky Mountains, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg
