Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department travel assignment in Aurora, CO, requiring at least 1 year of acute care ED experience and a full certification package including TNCC.
Details
- Position is located in a 50-bed Emergency Department
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 13-week travel contract
- Patient ratios are approximately 1:4 or 1:5
- Unit staffing includes 7–8 RNs and 2–3 EMT/Medics per shift
- Equipment used includes EKG machines, cardiac monitors, and blood glucose monitoring devices
- EMR system is Meditech
- Level II Trauma experience and stroke experience are preferred
Requirements
- Active CO or Compact RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), PALS, TNCC, and ENPC — AHA or ARC accepted; no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
- CPI certification required (SAMA, MAB, or ACPMA may be accepted in lieu of CPI based on facility requirement)
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care hospital ED experience required
- Must have a valid US SSN and DOB on file — Canadian SSNs are not accepted
- One professional reference required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Responsible for providing comprehensive emergency department care across the full scope of ED patient needs
- Collaborative team environment — ideal candidates are energetic, communicative, and work well with staff and providers
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible, no exceptions
