Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVICU position requiring cardiac and neuro ICU experience along with SC or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) of an acute care hospital with 276 staffed beds
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Requires working every other weekend
• Holiday rotation required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required within scope to like units or sister facilities as needed, with agency staff floating first
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active SC RN license or Compact RN license must be in hand prior to start
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (CCRN preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required, 2 years preferred
• Cardiac and neuro ICU experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Valid driver's license and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to cardiovascular ICU patients, including post-cardiac surgery, cardiac catheterization, and various cardiovascular support device management
• Scrub color required: Royal Blue
• Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
• Previous perm or PRN staff must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at time of application for consideration
• Approval for block scheduling may be requested but is not guaranteed
• During hurricane season (June through November), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
