Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week infusion unit contract in the Boston area, requiring 2+ years of oncology infusion experience and an active MA RN license.
Details
- Work in a 60-bed/chair outpatient infusion unit within a Division of Hematology-Oncology at an academic medical center (AMC)
- Oncology infusion patient population with complex GI chemotherapy regimens
- Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- 36 hours per week with every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) requirements
- Charts using Epic EMR
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required — no pending or conditional licenses accepted
- BLS certification required (AHA only)
- ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of oncology infusion experience in an AMC setting
- Minimum 1 year of outpatient infusion experience
- Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience
- Strong IV placement and patient assessment skills
- Experience with complex GI chemotherapy regimens
- 2 professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Flu vaccine is required; no religious or medical exemptions are accepted
- Local candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are eligible but may be subject to a reduced pay rate
- No validated parking available at this Boston location; public transportation or public parking lots are available (daily parking rates approximately $17–$22)
- Time keeping is managed through UKG/Kronos
