Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a 13-week travel contract at an acute care teaching hospital, with Siemens equipment experience required and a schedule covering weekends and weekday evenings.

Details

• Acute care teaching hospital setting at a Level 3 trauma center with 317 staffed beds
• CT scan unit serving adult acute care, outpatient, ED, and ICU patient populations
• Schedule is Saturday and Sunday 8:00 AM–6:00 PM and Monday and Tuesday 4:00 PM–12:00 AM (4x10-hour shifts)
• Every weekend is required as part of the standard schedule
• Procedures include abdomen/pelvis imaging, chest, head and neck, spine and musculoskeletal, brain perfusion, CT arthrography, myelography, vascular CTA, biopsies, aspirations, drainage, and transplant studies
• Multiplanar reconstruction (MPR) and post-processing required
• Uses Siemens CT equipment and PACS
• Charting system is Epic (Excellian); experience preferred
• No on-call required
• Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate facility may be required

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of CT Tech experience required; 1–2 years preferred
• ARRT and BLS required
• Siemens CT equipment experience required
• Epic/Excellian EMR experience preferred
• Proficiency in abdomen and pelvis, chest, head and neck, spine and musculoskeletal imaging required
• Experience with preparation and/or administration of contrast media and starting peripheral IVs required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• License required if applicable
• 1 supervisor reference required for consideration
• Fingerprinting is required per Minnesota state law; results must be on file prior to start — candidates should initiate this process as early as possible as results can take 1 day to 3–4 weeks

• 13-week contract
• Dark grey scrubs required
• Pre-employment modules are required prior to start and completion is tracked via transcripts
• RTO is ideally limited to no more than 5 days for the duration of the contract
• Local candidates are accepted for this radiology position
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility as permanent staff or per diem must have been away for at least 3 months from their last shift worked
• Parking is available on-site for a fee for day and evening shift workers; rates and payment terms will be communicated upon placement
