Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with at least 6 months of current acute care hospital Cath Lab experience and active ARRT or RCIS/RCES certification for a cardiac cath lab position in Colorado.
Details
- Cardiac cath lab setting with 3 holding bays and 2 cath suites
- Staff-to-patient ratio of 3:1 in the procedural area
- Procedures include LHC, RHC, PCI, peripheral diagnostic and intervention, pacers, ICDs, cardioversions, TEEs, tilt table tests, and dobutamine stress tests
- Uses GE Innova Fluoroscopy Systems and Mac Lab
- EMR system: Meditech
- Day shift hours of 6:45 AM – 4:15 PM (CVL) or 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (pre/post, variable)
- On-call responsibilities are shared evenly among the team, typically 8–12 call days per 4-week schedule with approximately one weekend call per block
Requirements
- Minimum 6 months of current acute care hospital Cath Lab Tech experience within the last 6 months
- Active BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within 30 days of start)
- ARRT (R), RCIS, or RCES required; ARRT (CI) or (CV) preferred
- Candidates holding RCIS or RCES must be willing and able to apply for and register as a Fluoroscopy Operator in Colorado with DORA prior to starting
- Holding and monitoring experience preferred
- Must reside within 30 miles of the facility to fulfill on-call obligations
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Performs cardiac and peripheral cath lab procedures as well as EP-related cases including cardioversions, pacer and ICD work, TEEs, and stress testing
- On-call is distributed evenly across a 4-week schedule; every effort is made to limit weekend call to one per block, though this is not always possible
- Ideal candidates are positive, flexible, and highly engaged in quality patient care
- SSN and DOB required for consideration; Canadian SSNs are not accepted
- First-time travelers are not specified as eligible for this position
