Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an Emergency Center position requiring 5+ years of experience, at least one prior travel assignment, and MEDITECH proficiency.
Details
- Acute care hospital Emergency Center (ER) setting
- Serves a broad patient population from pediatrics to geriatrics, including trauma, CVA, neuro, and ortho cases; facility is a CVA center and sees approximately 180–200 visits per day
- 6-bed behavioral lockdown area staffed by psychiatry on unit
- Patient ratio is 1:4
- 12-hour day shifts, 7a–7p
- Every other weekend required
- Every other holiday required
- MEDITECH 6.15 EMR; experience is required
- Nurses perform their own lab draws and IV starts
- Central monitoring tech available
- 24/7 respiratory therapy dedicated to the ED; ventilated patients are held in the ER until admitted
- Pharmacy is on-site in the department 11 hours/day and on campus 24/7
- Nurse aides and paramedics on shift (5–6 per shift); security and safety sitters available
- Charge nurse present on unit
Requirements
- Active GA or compact RN license required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS (or ASLS), and CPI
- Minimum 5 years of RN experience required
- At least 1 prior travel assignment required
- MEDITECH EMR experience required
- BSN is not required
- Driver's license must be provided for consideration
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for placement
- Candidates who have been employed by the facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Orientation consists of 2 floor-specific shifts and must be completed during the first week of the assignment
- Holiday coverage required on an every-other-holiday rotation
- Caribbean Blue scrubs required
- RTO requests are honored only if included at the time of initial assignment confirmation
- A copy of your driver's license is required for consideration
